Pawnee Academic Team Area I Results

Pawnee High School Academic Team participated in the Area I Tournament at Crossings Christian School in Oklahoma City on Saturday, January 13th.  They placed third out of 8 teams in the tournament.  Pawnee defeated Cashion 210 to 130, then defeated Fairview 150 to 140.  Pawnee lost to Crossings Christian School in the championship game by a score of 250 to 130.  In the last game of the tournament, Cashion defeated Pawnee by a score of 180 to 120.  Quinn Brown scored 200 points, Ajeet Singh scored 50 points, and Madelyn Thurman scored 30 points; Katie Apgar, Dillon Bell, Quinnlen Spears, and Anayla Williams also participated in the tournament.  This is the second consecutive year that the academic team has fallen just one game short of the state tournament.
